Cumin Seeds

Cumin is the dried fruit of a small, slender annual herb. The fruit is elongated, ovoid in shape, measuring about 3 to 6 mm in length, with a greyish-brown colour and five distinct ridges. It is commonly referred to as a seed due to its appearance. The plant typically grows to a height of 15 to 50 cm. Cumin has a warm, aromatic flavour with a slightly bitter taste. Its flowers are small, usually white or pink, and are arranged in umbrella-shaped clusters known as umbels.
